We all know what it’s like when you sign up for something online and you automatically tick the agree with terms and conditions button. In fact some of us have been signed up to social media for so long we don’t even know what the original terms and conditions were. Even if we had found the time to read through them word by word would we have understood them?
Luckily for us the terms and conditions we sign online are becoming a lot more regulated. MP’s have recently agreed to make social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter simplify their Terms and Conditions to make it easier for the user to understand.
This can be only a good thing for users as they will (hopefully) be able to clearly see how their data is being used online. But what could this mean for social media sites? Will they have more users questioning the use of their data and more people not happy with what they see as results?
