Clickingmad have provided managed email solutions since 2000
When we create the space on our multiple dedicated servers at Rackspace, we also enable the space and facilities for email, if our client needs it. This can be POP3 email, IMAP and SMTP or other configuration that our clients may need.
We can work with clients’ in house technical departments giving the level of access and control they require. Or we can totally control the email right down to individual user’s accounts and anti-spam and antivirus provisions. Either way is fine with us.
It is a sad fact that email is not a secure method of communication, therefore it is imperative that we provide a high degree of technical understanding and skills to our clients to be able to advise them properly about how best to utilise email to its best effect, safely and securely.
Glossary – Types of email systems currently popular:
- POP3 is the most common account type for email. Messages are typically deleted from the server when you check your email.
- Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP) servers let you work with email messages without downloading them to your computer first.
- Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) servers handle the sending of your email messages to the Internet.
If you have any questions on how we can help you reduce spam, increase your email security or simply help make your systems more efficient, please get in touch.
Did you know email is NOT secure?
Email is NOT secure. Never put anything into an email that you wouldn’t be comfortable with the rest of the world reading.
